Today’s art is a relatively simple chalice. It took three canvases in GIMP2 and one in InkScape to create the effect I wanted. The elliptical and rectangular portions are possible with some work in the former, but the latter was needed to create precision gemstones. The purple backdrop is intended to highlight the gold and the gold to highlight the water and the rubies. This piece has been submitted to Shutterstock and approved.
