This is an InkScape dragon. The trick here is to imagine entire shape at once and move along the broad image to outline it without lifting the pen. InkScape makes designs in this style relatively easy to execute but obviously the final piece of art has some hard limits to what can be done in single strokes. The gold is just the ellipse tool. Again easy but limited.
