The central image was penned from InkScape but instead of leaving the strokes alone as I usually have I dragged the nodes to create a tiny bit more symmetry. Black Cat on Gold
The cat is made from single element strokes in InkScape for a linear feel and the background and artist mark are broad brushing in GIMP2 to provide a contrast to the solidity of the cat.
