This is markezuma. He is my personal super hero. His name is also my preferred handle on the internet. Sometimes he serves as my alter ego. His super powers are to turn invisible and desolid. He is also an incredible diplomat. When he is not playing video games with me, he tries to bring peace to the world. He’s the sort of hero that will go into war zones and convince people to stop shooting. Since his powers make him immune to conventional weapons, soldiers that won’t stop attacking find his presence demoralizing. When things are about to hit him the areas they would strike phase out and those things pass right through him. This is especially true for the target on his chest. It draws fire to his least vulnerable area. He wears a helmet to deflect headshots since things passing through his advanced brain can derail this thoughts. He is courageous and intelligent. He helps the downtrodden and cheats the oppressors of their victims. He is a paragon of virtue. Unfortunately he is also completely imaginary, so can only give you moral support.
The name markezuma comes from playing video games. Many years ago I played Sid Meyer’s civilization and liked to pick the Aztecs because their cities looked cool. At the beginning of the game it asks you to name your leader, and for the Aztecs it suggests Montezuma. I switched the beginning of the word to mark and my internet handle was born. I started using it on the web and found that no one other than myself ever tries to use it. If you put “markezuma” into a search engine you will find things I’ve done online all the way back to Myspace and Geocities accounts. I am markezuma in cyberspace and I am everywhere.
As an alternative to my real personality which likes to sit on the computer and my phone drawing and writing, markezuma is very outgoing. He travels the web looking for people to inspire to peace, and justice, and virtue. Unlike me he is never at a loss for words and doesn’t lose his temper. The world does make him sad sometimes, but that happens to all of us. Again he is only an illusion, but he will at least be your imaginary friend. He always comes home, so don’t expect him to stay. If markezuma visits you treat him well, and he will lift your spirits.

Eyes of a Cat
I was just fiddling around with a single stroke cat outline and oval eyes on InkScape. I moved it as a png to GIMP2 because it’s easier to rotate and resize and cut and past. I do one piece of digital art everyday. This one was good enough to upload. When you gaze at the…

Our Theatrical Cat
This is Cosmos. She looks more like a cat than anything anyone could draw. The picture was shot on my Moto G Pure cell phone. I have real cameras, I swear in all honesty. But those cameras are never in hand when I think “That would make a good picture.” My phone is in my…

Black Cat 8 26 24
Something simple again today. We have two female black cats that we adore, so they are on my mind a lot. The cat outline is one stroke. The eyes obviously took a little more work. (InkScape)

Purple Robed Alien
My wife got a new purple gown. I embellished the gown from the image in my mind. It turned out well but it needed a wearer. I said “Alien?” to Stephanie and she gave it the thumbs up. He’s a little fat and lopsided, but aren’t we all? The stock art is available here: Purple…
