Praise to the Man

I decided to sing for y’all today. This is an LDS hymn called “Praise to the Man” which is on it’s way out because Salt Lake wants us to focus on Jesus Christ instead of Brother Joseph. The words are by William W. Phelps who also wrote “If You Could Hie to Kolob,” so he is a favorite of mine. I have it on good authority that the currently triumphant tune that The Church uses is not the one Phelps originally intended. The tune I’ve used here is called “Star of the East” which is more somber and fitting for a eulogy. Enjoy!
